This year’s Community Services & Health Industry Conference includes Ms Fran Thorn, Secretary, Department of Human Services; Ms Cath Smith, CEO, Victorian Council Of Social Service; Ms Justine Evesson, Senior Research Analyst, Workplace Research Centre; Ms Diane Lawson, CEO, Community Services & Health Industry Skills Council and Mr Rod Peadon, E-Learning Consultant, North Coast Area Health Service as keynote speakers. They will  examine skilling employers and workers for change.

Workshops, papers and product demonstrations will explore the four conference theme streams:

• Changes in the work environment that impact on the training system, such as: aging population, aging workforce, demographic shifts, population health issues and the implications of quality for disability and aged care service delivery

• Innovative practice in training delivery, including open online learning, RPL

• Innovative recruitment and retention strategies to attract and retain generation XY, CALD and mature-aged new entrants

• State/national issues.
